***** Hasedera ****

When you come from Tokyo by JR Yokosuka Line, get off the train at Kamakura and get on Enoden. Get off Enoden at Hase station. Go straight. It is 5-10 minutes from Hase station.

This is the entrance. You can see main buildings in the middle of the mountains. Hasedera is said to be founded in 736. It has a big wood statue of Kannon. It is about 12 meter heigh including a pedestal.

You will see this pond just after you enter into the temple.

There is a cave beside the pond. This is called "Bentenkutsu". Inside the cave is "Benzaiten*". *: Benzaiten is one of the seven gods of fortune.
